Fred's Best of 2007 List to appear the day of the Oscars!!

I will not be commenting on the Oscars or the Nominees, since they mean very little to me. Over the years a handful of my favorite movies have won Oscars, but a large number have not. Like 1991, a groundbreaking film is released that year, one that is universally loved by critics and adored by fans. It set the stage for hundreds of films that came after it and didn't get a whiff at anything but technological Oscars. Its name--Terminator 2. What did get a nomination in its place? The Prince of Tides. People hated that movie even then. A system that doesn't reward true greatness and innovation has little rooting interest from me.
